There’s a lot going on at Shaw sandwich shop Sundevich, which plans to roll out an all-day breakfast menu, house-made ice cream sandwiches, and, eventually, a food truck.

First up, in April, is breakfast. Co-owner Ali Bagheri has four baguette sandwiches in the works that keep with the international theme of the menu. Look for the “Mexican,” stacked with two fried eggs, ham, avocado, and chipotle butter. The similarly stuffed “Italian” layers eggs with pancetta, Gorgonzola, arugula, and tomato. The “Scandinavian” is spread with herb cream cheese, capers, red onion, and smoked salmon. Late risers and all-day-breakfast lovers are the current target audience—the shop’s hours are the same, from noon to 9, Monday through Saturday—though Bagheri says he may add earlier hours and coffee service down the line.

Planned for the future is a District-based food truck—Bagheri is on the lookout for a used vehicle—which will be used for catering and serving sandwiches, including house-made ice cream ’wiches, to the food-truck crowds around the city. Those ice cream sandwiches will also be on sale at the shop once the weather warms.
