The flakes are falling, and you know what that means (besides total chaos): food and drink specials! Washington restaurants and bars are stepping up per usual to make your snow day as fun as possible. We’ll update the list throughout the afternoon as more deals become available.

Buffalo & Bergen at Union Market
Gina Chersevani serves up $3 hot cider and $10 Kentucky Snowballs.
Order a small or medium sub at this Vice President-approved sub shop and get a free upgrade to the next size.
It’s closed for dinner, but the regular happy hour is offered from 5 to 9.
This bistro boasts a wood-burning fire (as do these places) and an $8 hot toddy special all night.
The salad chain offers $8 salad deals at participating locations.
The usual buy-one-drink-get-one-free happy hour special lasts all day.
This Dupont spot dishes up sandwiches and $5 happy hour specials.

Living Room at the W Hotel
The swanky hotel lobby offers its barrel-aged Manhattan for $8.
While many Virginia spots are shutting their doors, Maple Ave. is open and offering its two-course lunch ($20 per person).
Stay warm with free glasses of sherry from 5 to 6.
The Georgetown waterfront spot offers $3 beer, house liquor, and hot chocolate all day.
You’ll find happy hour all day, with deals such as $10 pizzas, $2 giant meatballs, and $5 flatbreads. It’s Virginia, so ask about drink specials when you get there.

You don’t have to love swine to enjoy happy hour all day at the bar.

Righteous Cheese at Union Market
“All-day fun day” includes Alpine cheese and beer flights for $19 (regularly $24), and a racelette special for $13.
The new restaurant offers lunch service today for the first time from 11:30 to 3. No deals per se, but a burger sounds pretty good right now.
Head to the Capitol Hill spot for dinner and get half off a bottle of Italian red or white wine.
Cava: All three locations closed after 3 PM.
