Wing Wars: Churchkey vs. Wing Supreme

Who has the best wings in Washington? You decide.

No bones about it: Churchkey and Wing Supreme both make tasty wings. But who does them better?

Welcome to round one of Wing Wars! We selected 32 local chicken wing destinations and randomly drew numbers to create this March Madness–style bracket. Every day on the Best Bites Blog, we’ll ask you to vote for which bars and restaurants should move on to the sweet 16. We’ll be posting two bouts a day during round one, so check back for updates. Voting will close at midnight of the day the posts are published.

Happy Tuesday, wing fiends. Yesterday you broke a tie—William Jeffrey’s Tavern will move on to the Sweet 16—and created another one. It seems Dogfish Head Alehouse and J. Bell’s Famous Wings have equally adamant fan bases. As such, that poll will stay open until 5 PM today. The winner will be announced tomorrow along with today’s two victors.

First up for today, we have a very exciting wing-off between the beloved snacks at Churchkey, and Takoma favorite Wing Supreme. Pick which wings you want to see fly into round two, and be sure to check back this afternoon for our second bout.
