The Reluctant Groomzilla
If it were up to Josh, he'd buy his wedding flowers from a sidewalk vendor and call it a day.
Editor's note: The Reluctant Groomzilla will be here this Friday, March 28, to do a live reader Q&A from 11 to noon. Is there something you've been dying to ask him? Now's your chance. Submit questions here. Those of you who have lived in the District—or at least gone out to bars in Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, and downtown DC—probably know the Flower Guys. There are two or three who come around to the bars every evening selling flowers—usually roses. They even came by a restaurant I was at a few weeks ago. Talk about a great sales pitch. Ask him anything—okay, anything that has to do with him and weddings—and he’ll answer between 11 and noon. He’s hilarious, so don’t be shy.

Grab your bridesmaids and create signature scents.
Whoever invented the Tupperware party—a Saturday afternoon when your mom invites all the other moms over to buy kitchenware—opened the door for parties selling much cooler products. For example, bras (which, come on, totally trump plastic bowls). And last week I learned about a Tupperware-style shower idea: gathering the bridesmaids to create custom perfumes.

Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway will star in Bride Wars, a movie about a girl who gets mad at another girl for having her wedding on the same day. Which, from the last paragraph of this EW piece, sounds like exactly the movie that director Amy Heckerling turned down. AM New York has tips for buying your dress.

Judging by the number of workshops Paper Source holds on wedding invitations, what sounds like a simple card and envelope is actually kind of a big deal. The store, though, makes you spend $55 to get its expertise; here, you can get invitation tips for free—plus advice on place cards, save-the-dates, and more. Itsy Kliman, a popular local wedding calligrapher, will be here Thursday at 11 AM to take your questions.
