How they met: In medical school at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. First date: Over dinner at a Richmond restaurant. Favorite restaurant: Rasika in DC. Where they got engaged: Atop a ferris wheel at the Navy Pier in Chicago. Wedding cocktail: Strawberry, orange, and green-apple martinis. Wedding theme: "A Capitol Wedding." All the tables were named after DC landmarks. Favorite wedding detail: The cake was a model of the US Capitol and had three tiers with different flavors. First dance song: "It's Your Love" by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Wedding flowers: Green curly willow, orchids, roses, stephanotis. Four words that describe the wedding: Love, laughs, crazy fun. Honeymoon spot: Tahiti, New Zealand, and Australia.
