A Cheerful Arlington Wedding, Amazing Details at Woodend, and More

We do the research so you don’t have to: inspiring real Washington weddings, proposals, and engagement sessions from our favorite blogs.

This Arlington wedding is truly inspiring. Photographs by Sarah Culver Photography

We pretty much love everything about this modern and cheerful Arlington wedding: the adorable invitations (featuring custom “heads” and pennants), the bride’s yellow necklace, the just-picked-looking flowers, the bright balloons (above), the Mexican food, the bold labels on the seed favors—yup, we adore it all. And the photography by Sarah Culver is pretty fantastic, too.
Junebug Weddings

There are so many genius details at this vintage-inspired Upper Marlboro wedding, but we particularly love the pumpkin patch; each guest was able to pick out and take home a mini pumpkin as a favor. We’re also obsessed with the bride’s brooch bouquet, gold cardigan, and leopard(!) shoes, as well as the milk glass centerpiece vessels.
Bridal Musings

This Woodend Sanctuary wedding features one of the most amazing details we’ve seen all year: cork chandeliers, created by Kate Harlan of Simply Chic Events. The flower arrangements by Holly Heider Chapple and the custom beer glasses are also noteworthy.
Style Me Pretty

Such a gorgeous red and gold mandap (canopy) at this Indian wedding at CrossKeys Vineyards in Mount Crawford, Virginia. And those little flower girls are just too sweet.

A great way to celebrate both the holiday season and your engagement: a photo shoot at a Christmas tree farm. These shots by Abby Grace Photography are just so darn cute and cozy.
Capitol Romance

Speaking of cozy, here’s another sweet engagement shoot to enjoy. This one was shot at LaMontagne at Bluemont, a lovely venue in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We just love how it’s casual yet magazine-spread stylish all at once.
