Will there be a line beforehand? Brendan Hurley, vice president of marketing and communications for Goodwill of Greater Washington, thinks so: “We’re running advertisements on local radio stations and promoting it heavily in each of our retail stores.” And are the dresses worth buying? I haven’t seen them, and Hurley so far hasn't found any couture in the mix, but—for the chance to get any pretty dress at those prices—I’d give this sale a shot. Plus, proceeds help fund job training programs for the disadvantaged and disabled.
If anything, go for novelty: The Greater Washington branch, which created the event, is the only Goodwill in the country hosting anything like this.
