As 2013 draws to a close, there is nothing quite like looking back at everything Washingtonian Bride & Groom has achieved this year. From last year’s Unveiled event (mark your calendars, Unveiled 2014 is January 26!) to some major photo shoots (seemingly all accompanied by pouring rain), to gorgeous jewels from the likes of Graff, Bulgari, and Tiffany & Co., the year was filled with Instagram-worthy moments—all fun and fashionably fabulous. Scroll down for a behind-the-scenes look at our day-to-day lives and see why we love that our job is getting to make this magazine for you.

When our region’s best wedding professionals turned out for Washingtonian Bride & Groom’s Unveiled event on January 28, they brought their A-game—and then some. From elaborate table settings by an elite handful of event planners to spectacular floral displays, scrumptious cake tastings, photography booths, stationery samplers, incredible props, decor, and more, this year’s event packed the ballroom of the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. with the most fabulous trends the industry has to offer. While brides-to-be perused the exhibitions and chatted with vendors, backstage models were transformed into winter-white visions of beauty, ready to model hot-from-the-runway looks courtesy of Carine’s Bridal Atelier in the finale fashion show—the perfect way to end another excellent Unveiled.
Bowen Films captured the splendor of Unveiled, from the decorations to the runway presentation.
Washingtonian Bride & Groom would like to thank everyone who attended our annual Unveiled event at the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C.—it was truly a day to remember. We’d especially like to recognize the incredible support we received from Chicka, Edge Floral Event Designers, and Digital Lightning, who helped us transform the showcase into a breathtaking experience inspired by the best of spring, summer, fall, and winter weddings. We’d also like to say a huge “thank you” to Carine’s Bridal Atelier for presenting gorgeous designer gowns in our bridal fashion show—Marchesa, Monique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera, Rivini, and more, all on one stunning runway. Carl Ray makeup, Hair by Giselle and runway production by the Aba Agency brought it all together for the perfect culmination of bridal style.
We’ll be posting a full recap later this week, but until then, here’s a peek at some of the finer details from Unveiled 2013.
Last Wednesday, Washingtonian Bride & Groom hosted the Unveiled rehearsal dinner at Lincoln restaurant. Ten lucky engaged couples were randomly selected to win a seat at the dinner, where they had the chance to mingle, meet some of the best DC wedding vendors, and enjoy delicious food from Lincoln.
