Get moving or get out of the way! Filene’s Basement hosts its annual “Running of the Brides” event at Mazza Gallerie. Choose from 1,700 gowns, with prices slashed from between $900 and $9,000 to between $249 and $699. The event goes until 9 PM, but brides-to-be will be lining up at the doors when they open at 8 AM. Moni’s Bridal Boutique (8021 Centreville Rd., Manassas) hosts an Essence of Australia and Ella Bridal trunk show today through Sunday. Head to Chevy Chase Bridal for its semiannual bridal sample sale. The event, which began yesterday and runs through August 5, features the boutique’s regular designers at discount prices. Click here for store hours.

Make the trek north for the Baltimore Bridal Show today at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront (700 Aliceanna St.; 410-385-3000). The city’s largest bridal show features offerings from more than 125 area vendors, including bridal fashions, menu tastings, and experts dispensing wedding-planning advice. Tickets ($10 at the door, $8 online) are available here. 11 to 5.
