For garden lovers, here is an opportunity that could only happen in Washington: fall tours of the White House garden and grounds. The four scheduled tours are open to public on a first come, first served basis, and tickets are required. The tickets can be obtained at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion at 15th and E streets beginning at 8 AM on tour days.
And the tour days are:
Saturday, October 13, 9 to 4
Sunday, October 14, 9 to 3
Friday, October 19, 9 to 3
Saturday, October 20, 9 to 4
Among the gardens and grounds open for the tour are the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, the Rose Garden, the White House Kitchen Garden—the first of its kind since the Roosevelt Administration—and the South Lawn.
