Washingtonian’s weekly roundup of hires and promotions on K Street and beyond

There was some movement among the antitrust bar this week. Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman picked up antitrust partner Michael Sibarium from Winston & Strawn. Mike Cowie joined Dechert as a partner in its antitrust practice. He was previously a partner at Howrey.

There are also promotions to announce just in time for the holidays. McDermott Will & Emery has elected four lawyers in its Washington office to partner: Matthew Leland focuses on complex litigation and political law; David Ransom is a member of the regulatory-and-government-affairs group; Christina Ondrick is a litigator focused on intellectual-property matters; and Mustafa Ostrander practices in the energy-and-commodities-advisory group.

Intellectual-property law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner announced three new partners in the Washington area. Adriana Burgy and Rajeev Gupta both made partner in the firm’s DC office. And Joseph Palys is a new partner in the Reston, office.
