Until recently, the Arlington event space Top of the Town was booked for an Inauguration Day event. But when its client, a media company, recently canceled, Main Event Caterers swooped in and snatched up the vacancy.
Now the Arlington event-planning company is offering the 180-person space for a fully catered inaugural bash to the highest bidder.
The main selling point of Top of the Town is the view: From across the Potomac, guests can see panoramic vistas of DC, including the length of the Mall from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol. On Inauguration Day, guests can watch the swearing-in ceremony and the inaugural parade on TVs while seeing a bird’s-eye view of the action unfolding across the river.
Main Event Caterers’ inauguration package can be fully customized—from the menu to decorations to seating. The space can be rented for the full day or part of the day, depending on needs. And there’s a bonus for earth lovers: the company specializes in ecofriendly events, so green details can be incorporated at the client’s request.
