Maybe love at first sight does exist. These folks never exchanged a word, only glances. But sometimes a look is all it takes for someone to say “I want you.” Or maybe you just have something stuck between your teeth
Exchanged several glances in the vegetable aisle at Harris Teeter (Shirlington) this afternoon- you had glasses, short blonde hair, and were wearing a matching hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants. I was in jeans and a hooded sweatshirt myself. I saw you a bit later at the butcher’s counter but I don’t know if you saw me then. Home-cooked meals are great, but tell me the color of your sweatshirt/pants and the shirt you were wearing underneath if you’d like to go out for a restaurant-cooked meal sometime.
You can’t tell if it’s a good apple just by looking at it.

You were a very attractive brown haired woman in jeans and sitting near the door of the Metro. I got on at Farragut North and you were on the train with a co-worker, friend who got off at Dupont. We exchanged a few glances until you went to get off the train at Bethesda Metro. You stared and I stared back. We continued to glare at each other even when you were out of the train walking away. Unfortunately I could not follow because of something I can explain later. Wish I had anyway. I had dark short hair and have tan skin. I was wearing a blue sportcoat, blue dress shirt and dark pants. Please contact me if by some chance you see this.
You stared, and I stared. You stared back. Then we stared some more. Stare, stare, stare.
Hey…you and I were exchanging glances as I was entering and you were outside eating at the Embassy today around 3:45pm.
You look like a nice guy. Want to grab drinks?
You: jeans, blue polo
Me: jeans, red/white/black top, black shirt
The Craigslist Killer looked like a nice guy too.

Dear girl in the magenta rain boots and jade earrings,
I was lucky enough to grab a table near you, but you were enjoying some tunes so a brief apology when you bumped my table aside, all we exchanged were glances. Your choice of books reminded me that rainy Sunday afternoons like this one are best spent lying around indoors reading good stories — maybe I will see you around the neighborhood again some time, but if not, thanks for sharing your smile with me today.
