We are excited to announce the launch of Washingtonian Custom Media (WCM).

Publishing companies like The Washingtonian around the nation and the world have realized that they can take the experience and quality talent they use to publish their own award-winning titles and provide those same content marketing services to help others.

We will serve clients by publishing magazines, pamphlets, and books that will facilitate communication with customers, colleagues, and employees. We will borrow from The Washingtonian’s 45-plus years of experience to deliver first-class freelance writers, editors, photographers, fact-checkers, and copy editors. Whatever the project, our expert staff will make sure no detail is overlooked.

By partnering with The Washingtonian for custom publishing needs, organizations will discover many benefits, including savings on production costs; more freedom for staff to focus on other priorities; access to the industry’s best designers, editors, writers, and photographers; and guidance in defining brand.

The Washingtonian has named Cliff Chiet as the president of our new division. Chiet, a local publishing veteran, spent the past 16 years as a vice president of sales and a publisher at Post-Newsweek Media, a division of the Washington Post Company. Chiet will be able to use our publishing expertise to tell your story the way it deserves to be told, through custom magazines and digital media.

WCM will primarily focus on targeting key industries including associations and nonprofits, health and wellness, entertainment, hospitality and tourism, and business and education. In addition to offering publishing services to our customers, WCM will also extend digital media options including video, Web site publishing, Webinars, and e-letter services, as well as mobile and social media campaigns.
