Tweet Beat
The best Congressional tweets of the week By Sophie Gilbert
Comments () | Published April 23, 2010
Is Peter Roskam the new Jason Chaffetz? His tweets about Lost won him considerable media attention this week, probably because it’s nice to see a Republican tweeting about something other than how bad the economy is or how healthcare is going to kill us all. We’ll officially find out who has supremacy over the twittersphere in a week or so, when the congressional Republican new-media-challenge bracket competition declares a winner. Will Aaron Schock’s Hollywood connections help him pull it out the bag? Will Five Guys fans save Chaffetz? Or will John Shimkus’s daily Bible passages help him steal it out from under their noses? Or, will our representatives remember that they have actual work to do and stop spending their lives on Twitter?

In other news, there’s something fishy about Jeff Flake, Dan Burton hearts tea parties, Tom Rooney is going to the ballgame, and nobody likes Goldman Sachs. And congrats to Grandpop Inouye! Mahalo, Senator.
