May Travel Deals, Just in Time for the Warm Weather

These five exclusive travel deals can save you money on the Eastern Shore, in New York, or at the beach.

By the Bay

Where: The Inn at Perry Cabin, St. Michaels, Md.; 410-745-2200.

What’s special: On the edge of the Miles River on the Eastern Shore, the Inn at Perry Cabin exudes
serenity and elegance. The handsome rooms feature luxurious bedding and high-end bathrooms,
and the inn has beautiful common spaces, excellent cuisine, and terrific service.
Its restaurant, Sherwood’s Landing, is the only AAA four-diamond restaurant on the
Eastern Shore. The Linden Spa, named for the trees lining the hotel’s driveway, offers
rejuvenation and wellness treatments. The inn is pet-friendly, and you can easily
stroll into the charming town of St. Michaels.

Midtown, Downtown—All Around Town

What’s special: The Library Hotel Collection’s four boutique properties in Manhattan offer great
locations close to shopping, restaurants, and other attractions; the Library Hotel

The Library, at 41st Street and Madison Avenue, is steps away from the New York Public
Library, Grand Central Terminal, and Bryant Park. The Hotel Giraffe, at 26th Street
and Park Avenue, is near the Empire State Building and Union Square. Hotel Elysée,
on East 54th Street, is close to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and Bryant Park.
And the Casablanca Hotel, at 43rd Street and Broadway, is steps away from Times Square.
All four offer free wi-fi, evening wine and cheese, and free continental breakfast.

The deal: The Tax Amnesty Package, a 15 percent savings on the best flexible rates (a deal

On the Beach

What’s special: An easy, direct flight away, this property offers a white-sand beach, three pools,
a spa, a fitness center, horseback riding, tennis, and golf. Island activities include
swimming with dolphins, exploring Gold Rock Beach at Lucayan National Parks, and water
sports including boating, jetskiing, kiteboarding, and parasailing. Just steps from
the resort is the Treasure Bay Casino, where you can try your luck.

The deal: Pay $99 a night for an ocean-view
room, plus receive free breakfast for two each

Swing Into Summer

Where: Barefoot Resort, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.;

What’s special: In the heart of Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand, Barefoot Resort is a 2,300-acre complex
that has four world-class golf courses (Greg Norman, Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, and Davis
Love III), bike trails, walking paths, and swimming pools. Dining choices include
everything from California Pizza to Joe’s Crab Shack to the House of Blues. Starting
May 1, there’s free shuttle service to the beach on weekends; starting the Saturday
of Memorial Day weekend, the shuttle service is daily.

The deal: The Buy Three and Get the Fourth
Round Free Package includes three nights’ lodging,

Winetasting in the Finger Lakes

Where: Radisson Corning Hotel, Corning, N.Y.; 607-962-5000.

What’s special: The Radisson Corning Hotel is in the historic downtown Gaffer District, where buildings
date to the 1800s. Guests are within walking distance of the Corning Museum of Glass,
which contains nearly 50,000 objects representing 3,500 years of glassmaking. You
can see demonstrations and take short classes (20 to 40 minutes) in glassworking (book
before you come). Just a half hour or so away are wineries, including Dr. Frank’s
Vinifera Wine Cellars, Pleasant Valley Wine Company, and Heron Hill Winery. There’s
