There’s still hope for the four-legged friends that Santa overlooked with a weekful of adoption events.

Saturday, January 2
The Washington Animal Rescue League hosts a cat-adoption event from noon to 3 at the Big Bad Woof (117 Carroll St., NW; 202-291-2404). WARL volunteers and staffers will be on hand offering a personality test that prospective pet owners can take to determine which animal would be a good match.

Dog lovers can stop by Chateau-Animaux’s DC location (524 Eighth St., SE; 202-544-8710) for a Lucky Dog Animal Rescue dog-adoption event from noon to 2.

Sunday, January 3
The adopting fun continues Sunday with a cat-adoption event hosted by Capital Cats at Chateau-Animaux. The event runs from noon to 3.

The Big Bad Woof hosts a meet-and-greet for Greyhound Welfare, a rescue and placement group for the breed. Noon to 2.
