Mark Your Calendars for the Old Town Boutique District Warehouse Sale

Plus: how to score the best discounts at the massive event.

Here’s a reason you’ll actually want to wake up early on a winter Saturday: The Old Town Boutique District Warehouse Sale is back. For the uninitiated, this festival-like event opens the doors of some of the charming neighborhood’s most popular boutique—the Shoe Hive, Zoe, Bishop, and more—for seven straight hours of shopping at a whopping 70 to 80 percent off. That’s right: Shoes, jewelry, home furnishings, clothing, and even food by some stellar local brands are majorly discounted for an entire day. The ninth annual extravaganza returns on Saturday, February 1.

The best part: Unlike the similar Gilt City Warehouse and District Sample sales, entrance to the event, which takes place at the George Washington Masonic Memorial and begins at 9 AM, is completely free. The lack of a price tag will inevitably lead to larger crowds, so plan to arrive earlier in the day to take the most advantage of the sales (and get your hands on the goods before everyone else). From now until January 29, you can sign up for the chance to win early entry passes on the event’s Facebook page.
