Registering for popular fall races is no easy task. Luckily, there are plenty of fun runs and 5Ks this Labor Day weekend that are extending their registration periods or offering race-day registration packages.

1. Color Vibe 5K

September 5, RFK Stadium

Color runs tend to fill up fast, so hustle and register for this 5K as soon as possible. There’s a today-only registration offer of $30 for individual runners that ends at midnight—after that, you’re looking at a steep price hike up to $65 and $75.

For more specifics about race day, go to colorvibe.com/washingtondc.

2. 2015 Run for HOPE 5K and Kids’ Fun Run

September 5, Benjamin Banneker Park, Arlington

This 5K will provide funds to three HOPE Association programs: the HOPE Mentor Program, the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, and HOPE’s annual holiday event for kids with cancer and blood disorders.

Registration is $35 until today at 8 p.m., and will increase to $45 on race day. The half-mile fun run for kids is free.

3. Women of Noble Character 5K Run/Walk

September 5, Alexandria

This will be the seventh annual Women of Noble Character 5K, and this year’s funds will benefit the National Breast Cancer Center of Alexandria. Register online for $30 per runner/walker, or register on race day for $35.

4. 12th Annual Ellicott City Labor Day Running Classic 10K & 5K

September 5, Ellicott City

Last year, more than 400 runners finished this annual race in Maryland. Online registration is closed, but you can still register on race day for $35 for individuals and $75 for a family (up to four people). There will also be a kids’ fun run to $10.

Bonus: The first three men and women will receive cash awards, and there will be free food from Smokin’ Hot Bar & Grille for you to devour after the race.

5. 2015 DC Road Runners Larry Noel 15K Race & 3K Fun Run

September 6, Greenbelt

As a part of the 61st Annual Greenbelt Labor Day Festival, the 15K and 3K fun run takes you all over Greenbelt—you’ll get to see views around Greenbelt Lake in Buddy Attick Park, and on the 15K course, you’ll run through the USDA’s Henry A. Wallace Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and get a glimpse of the fields they use for scientific testing.

Online registration is $30 for the 15K race and $20 for the 3K fun run.

6. Great American 5K and 1K Fun Run

September 6, Fairfax

This race offers lots of swag. The first 300 runners who pick up their registration packets will receive a Great American Labor Day 5K pin, and those who register online ($35) by 8 p.m. on September 4 will get a race shirt. Potomac River Running will also have free race photos for you to download on its Flickr page.

Registration after September 4 and on race day is $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1K fun run. You can register at these locations.
