Has Dad been complaining of his growing gut? Signing him up for a race this Father’s Day might just be the motivation he needs to get moving. And the great thing is, he won’t have to do it alone. These three races are offering father-daughter or father-son team options, and happy hour drinks, food, and free massages afterward.

Father’s Day 8K
For the dad looking for that extra push, this five-mile race should do the trick. Participants will run a flat course along the C&O Canal Towpath. Run individually, or combine forces for a father-son or father-daughter team. Afterward, enjoy a complimentary Georgetown Cupcake or throw back a few with pops at Chadwick’s happy hour. Register online until Friday, June 15. $35. Race starts at 6:30 PM.

Dash 4 Dad 4-Mile Run
Support Dad and the fight against prostate cancer by running in this four-mile race at Pentagon Row in Arlington. Not in the mood to run? Sign up for the one-mile walk instead. Father-daughter and father-son teams can receive prizes, too. For those looking for a bit of fun, sign up for the Tie One on For Dad competition. At the one-mile mark, runners must tie a proper knot in a necktie and complete the run while wearing it. All participants can party at the post-race festivities at Pentagon Row. Register online until Saturday, June 16. $35. Race starts at 8:30 AM.

Run With Dad 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
For the multigenerational families, this Potomac River Running race in Reston is for you. Awards for the top big-family teams (at least three generations) will receive prizes, as will top three overall males, females, age groups, and father-son teams. Even better: Free post-race massages and food will be provided. Register online until Friday, June 15. $30. Race starts at 8 AM.
