Free Yoga in Meridian Hill Park

Citizen Effect to host its first free yoga session at the DC park tonight, if you can stand the heat

Tonight is your chance to get an au naturale hot yoga session for free. Citizen Effect, a nonprofit organization aimed at building more self-reliant and sustainable communities, is bringing back its Yoga Challenge to raise money to end domestic violence.

From 6 to 7:30 PM, Citizen Effect will host a free yoga session at Meridian Hill Park (2500 16th St., NW). It’s the first of a number of free Yoga in the Park events, which will take place every other Wednesday through August.

The organization’s month-long Yoga Challenge is a partnership with yoga studios around the city to give deals to anyone who raises $250 for Becky’s Fund, a nonprofit organization that seeks to end domestic violence. The goal is to raise $20,000 for the fund.
