Spring Fitness Classes and Discounts at Washington Gyms and Studios

Free classes, hula hooping workshops, and more ways to catch spring fitness fever.

Now that New Year’s resolution season is over, oh-crap-it’s-almost-bathing-suit-season season has begun—and plenty of gyms and studios are offering incentives to amp up your exercise program. Read on to find out where to snag free classes, what to expect from the newest boot camp to hit Northern Virginia, and which studio has yoga classes just for men.

Tranquil Space Spring Open House 
When it comes to Washington yoga studios, Tranquil Space is an oldie but a goodie. On Thursday it hosts its first spring open house at the Dupont Circle and Arlington locations, with free classes all day and discounts on eco-friendly boutique clothes and products. Sweetgreen, Gouter, Vita Coco, and Lululemon will offer samplings and giveaways.

Circle Yoga’s New Vigorous Yoga Class 
Circle Yoga’s registration for spring classes are now open, and we’re definitely interested in checking out their new vigorous flow class. The 60-minute session involves postures that build strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Yoga Basics for Men at Sculpt Yoga 
Starting Thursday, Sculpt Yoga in Penn Quarter will host a weekly yoga class for men, designed to introduce you to the basics of vinyasa yoga. The four-week series is $75.

MyBootcamp Alexandria 
Personal trainer Grant Hill is known for his intensity, whether he’s training you at the local playground or on the bike at Revolve DC. His boot camps are no different. The new Alexandria boot camp begins April 2 and meets every Tuesday and Thursday. It’s $100 per month, plus a $50 enrollment fee.

Balance Gym Thomas Circle Open House
On Thursday, Balance Gym Thomas Circle hosts an open house from 6 to 8 PM. That day only, new members can sign up for $69 and get one month free. Also exciting: CrossFit buffs should check out the gym’s newest CrossFit location in Foggy Bottom.

Intense Yoga Classes With Capitol Hill Yoga 
For those who really need that morning pick-me-up, Capitol Hill Yoga’s Yogahour class will have you covered. The classes are held in a warm room and set to a “rockin’” soundtrack. Even better: Drop-in rates are $10 cash. (Typical classes are $18.)

Bring a Friend for Free at Off Road DC 
On April Fool’s Day, cyclists can bring a friend to a class at Off Road DC on U Street for free. The only catch? Your friend must be new to Off Road.

Hula Hoop Workshop at Mind the Mat 
Hula hooping workouts—it’s a thing. At Mind the Mat’s Alexandria location, you can learn how to work up a sweat using just a hula hoop at a $40, two-week workshop starting April 6.

Unlimited Classes at Peloton DC
If you haven’t made it to the newest indoor cycling studio to hit the U Street neighborhood, now’s your chance. Until March 31 you can snag Peloton DC’s spring special: one month of unlimited indoor cycling classes for $99.
