RUN/WALK: The Prince George’s Running Club’s Women’s Distance Festival features a run and walk for Haiti at Lake Artemesia (Berwyn Rd. and 55th Ave., Berwyn Heights). There is a women’s-only 5K that starts at 8 AM and a men’s 5K and family walk both starting at 9 AM. You can register the day of races for $30. Proceeds will benefit the Clermont Foundation, which provides services for homeless adolescents in Haiti. For more information, click here. BIKE: Join the Washington Area Bicyclist Association for a morning group ride along the Oxon Run Park Trail. The loop begins at Congress Heights Metro Station at 10 AM and will continue for three miles. Kids are welcome to join and helmets are mandatory. For more information and to register, click here. DANCE: Join Laurent Amzallag every Saturday from 9 to 10 AM for his signature YaLa fitness class along the Southwest Waterfront marina (Seventh and Water sts., SW). YaLa (which means “let’s go”) combines various elements of fitness—including strength conditioning, plyometrics, and cardio—with music and dance. Best of all: The class is free! If it rains during the class, there may be large tents for shelter. Check Amzallag’s Web site for an update.

SHOP: High school runners and their parents should head to Pacers Alexandria’s Mega Spike Night from 6 to 9 PM. All products will be 15 percent off for high schoolers, and they can get a special package of training shoes, cross country spikes, and a T-shirt for $135. There will also be DDR competitions, photos, a make your own cupcake station, karaoke contests, autograph tutorials, and New Balance athletes present for the “I’m a Running Rock Star” event. YOGA: Boundless Yoga welcomes author Suzanne Morrison to its studio for a book signing and reading starting at 2:15 PM. Morrison is the author of the book Yoga Bitch, which made the LA Times’s must-read summer list. Morrison will talk about how to write about your own yoga journey without coming off as a pretentious yogi. Click here for more information.
BIKE: Head over to Revolution Cycles in Clarendon (2731 Wilson Blvd., Arlington) or in Rockville (1066 Rockville Pike, Rockville) for a free bike maintenance clinic. At 7:45 AM there will be a 20 to 25-mile training bike ride, and by 10 AM you can munch on bagels, orange juice, coffee, and sports drinks. From 10:30 to 12 PM, technicians will teach how to fix a flat and go over basic maintenance and how to clean your bike. Register here—there are only a few tickets left at Rockville and there is a waiting list at the Clarendon location.
YOGA: Every Saturday or Sunday, a local yoga studio offers a free class courtesy of Lululemon. Be sure to check each store’s event calendar for more information. Click here to find the Lululemon store nearest you.

YOGA: It’s the last week to check out Lululemon’s free outdoor yoga classes every Wednesday in August in Dupont Circle. It starts at 6:30 PM and is BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat). Click here for more information.
