Friday, May 6

Online registration for the Run for Justice 5K ends today at 11:59 PM. The race, which benefits the Fairfax Law Foundation, starts at Tysons Sport and Health (8250 Greensboro Dr., McLean). Afterward, there will be a buffet lunch. 8 AM; register ($35) at Active.com.

Saturday, May 7

Start your day with sun salutations and down dogs at Yoga on the Mall, hosted by 85 Broads DC and Girls on the Run. All ages and skill levels are welcome. The event is free, but organizers are accepting donations to Girls on the Run, an organization that aims to empower preteen girls through healthy living. 9 AM.

Pacers in Alexandria (1301 King St.) is having a shoe seminar. Learn about proper footwear for a variety of activities and get fitted for a new pair of shoes. 6:30 to 7:30.

Stock up on fresh fruits, veggies, and other summer goodies at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market, which opens for the season today. 9 to 1; Lamont and Mount Pleasant sts., NW.

Sunday, May 8

Grab Mom and tackle the Mother’s Day 5K Dash together. Part of the Capital Sprints series, the race is run through Rock Creek Park. Register ($40) at Active.com.

Thursday, May 12

Registration for May 15’s Capitol Hill Classic 10K ($30), 3K ($30), and fun runs ($10) closes today at 12:30 PM. The race is run through Capitol Hill and starts and finishes at the Peabody School (425 C St., NE). Proceeds benefit the Cluster School in DC. Register at Active.com.
