At the National Museum of the American Indian, “A Song for the Horse Nation”—a traveling exhibit from the museum’s George Gustav Heye Center in New York running through January 7, 2013—features more than 100 items tracing the relationship between Native American culture and horses—including beadwork, a 16-foot-high tepee decorated with equine images, and other artifacts.
