Event Details: Join The Edge of the Universe Players 2 for our world premiere performance Atheist’s Paradise at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company from November 3 - 25, 2012. The play follows the story of “Doc” Johnson, an unconventional professor at a small, Christian college. As the head football coach and philosophy professor, “Doc” dedicates most of his time to teaching critical thought and questioning religion until a new college president - concerned with finances - pressures “Doc” to create a winning football team and scale back his controversial teachings. Along the way, “Doc” mentors Sheila, a timid freshwoman, and troubled student Bob, who both come to his defense when his role at the college is jeopardized.
