The Washington Balalaika Society presents its 60 member orchestra of Russian folk instruments under the baton of Svetlana Nikonova. In anticipation of our 25th Anniversary we are presenting the favorite pieces of the past years from Russia, Ukraine and Eastern Europe. These include selections from many genres including: Russian folk, gypsy, and classical. Featured soloists will be America's most outstanding balalaika virtuoso, Andrei Saveliev and sensational soprano, Olga Orlovskaya as well as a number of orchestra soloists.
