Writer/director Joe Calarco returns to Washington with Shakespeare’s R&J, his riff on Romeo and Juliet set in an all-male Catholic boarding school. The play, which ran at the Folger in 2000 following a hit off-Broadway run, was described as “overpoweringly moving” by the London Telegraph during its West End stint.
