Event Details: On Thursday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m., the National Archives in partnership with the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress will be holding an event entitled, “The Parties Versus the People: How to Turn Republicans and Democrats into Americans.” New York Times journalist Jackie Calmes will be moderating the panel, which will include Former Congressmen Mickey Edwards (R-OK), David Skaggs (D-CO), John Porter (R-IL) and Charlie Stenholm (D-TX). A book signing will follow the program. Admission is free to the event which will be held in the William G. McGowan Theater, with a special events entrance on 7th street and Constitution Ave, NW..
