This Valentine’s Day Art Soiree Productions turns on Love Power and projects it through ART at the historic Georgetown Powerhouse. Featuring unique “Love is” collection by world renowned artist Kim Casali, video projections by Igor Dmitry and music by DJ Adrian Loving.
cartoons: For more than 40 years, the "Love is..." cartoons have been enjoyed by millions of people around the world. Their fun, simple, yet meaningful messages show us the hidden forms that Love can take, and they express the feelings we encounter in daily life in ways that make us ponder, smile, and recognize the Love in our lives. Shy by nature, the artist Kim Casali would leave notes to her future husband Roberto expressing her feelings, notes which included the now famous drawings of a girl and a boy.
DJ Adrian Loving is one of Washington DC's staples in the dance music and nightlife arena. Born in Michigan and bred in the Washington Area, Adrian rocks dancefloors, lounges, retail stores and art gallery functions from DC to NY and Miami. A 15 year veteran of the groove, Adrian continually champions the classic sounds of disco, house, afro brazilian and hip hop music.
Igor Dmitry - A photographer and video artist whose projection work delightfully blends live footage with caleidoscoping visual effects patterns, will add liveliness and 3D effects to the presented works. http://www.igordmitry.com/
