Bolivians learned from the Spanish how to knit handspun yarns as long ago as the 1600s. Some examples—mostly belts and bags—are showcased in the exhibition. A free demonstration, suitable for kids as well as adults, of how to knit the Bolivian way—with the yarn positioned around the knitter’s neck.
