“Ballyhoo! Posters as Portraiture” is 60 pieces of art and advertising and is mostly fun—although there is a wanted poster with the image of John Wilkes Booth on it. Also featured are a caricature of singer/actress Bette Midler, movie greats Bette Davis and Shirley MacLaine in advertisements for fur coats, and tennis star Pete Sampras, who seems bewildered in a “Got Milk?” ad.
