Fashion icon Michael Kors will receive Marymount University's Designer of the Year Award at Portfolio in Motion, the annual student fashion show. The Designer of the Year Award is presented annually to a designer who has achieved excellence in the field and has captured the imagination of both the fashion industry and the public. Michael Kors' clothes have graced such celebrities as Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron and Sharon Stone. In addition to designing, he has attained new heights of recognition in recent years as a judge on the Emmy-nominated Bravo series Project Runway.
