The archives is celebrating its 75th anniversary (archives.gov/75th). Part of that is the exhibit “Big!,” opening March 13. The archives is rolling out some of the historic holdings that take up space in its storerooms, including a 13-foot-square map of the Gettysburg battlefield made at the time of the Civil War; General Douglas MacArthur’s military records, and basketball player Shaquille O’Neal’s size-22 sneakers.
