Food lovers will enjoy “Luis Meléndez: Master of the Spanish Still Life,” opening May 17. In a series of paintings labeled “The Four Seasons of the Year,” Meléndez (1715–1780) devoted loving attention to foods available in the 18th century. “Still Life With Figs and Bread,” owned by the National Gallery, is one of the mouthwatering paintings in the show. Closes August 23.
