Filmfest DC brings more than 90 features, documentaries, and shorts to local screens April 19 to 29. The festival showcases movies from more than 25 countries, but this year’s focus is contemporary French cinema. A highlight: Olivier Dahan’s La Vie en Rose, about French singer Edith Piaf, starring Marion Cotillard and Gérard Depardieu. Films are $9 and will be shown at a handful of theaters.
