Never one to shy away from tough subjects, choreographer Liz Lerman worked with more than 30 scientists to create Ferocious Beauty: Genome, a dance about how genetic knowledge changes lives. “As we collaborated,” says Lerman, “it became clear that biology and dance share a common theme in movement, which made using choreography even more compelling.”
