You can’t get any closer to the water than at this bar on the Washington Channel in Southwest DC; it was built on a dock at the Gangplank Marina. In spring, it’s one of the best spots for admiring the cherry blossoms across the water at Hains Point. In summer, live music and typical beach fare—margaritas, crab-cake sandwiches, French fries—will make you feel as if you’ve escaped to the Delaware shore without facing the Bay Bridge traffic.
