Dr. Douglas L. Forman was elected to Phi Beta Kappa during his undergraduate studies, and then he obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University. His training culminated with a fellowship in Breast and Aesthetic Surgery at Georgetown University. 

Dr. Forman received his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. He is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland and he is a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Georgetown University. Dr. Forman has been recognized as a Top Physician in Plastic Surgeryby Washingtonian, Bethesda, Northern Virginia, US News and World Report and Consumers' Checkbook Magazines. He has been the Medical Director for Red Door Spas in the Washington, DC metropolitan area since 2006.

At the state level, he was the first President of the Maryland Society of Plastic Surgeons from 2010-2012. On a national level, he is a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and he serves on various committees within each society. Dr. Forman regularly lectures on new developments and procedures in plastic surgery.
