Dr. Robert Marshall is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Marshall earned a Master’s degree in Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University. He received the Irwin Lepow Student Research Award in recognition for efforts in clinical investigation while attending the Case Western School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 1993.

Dr. Marshall completed Residency training in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Cardiovascular and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships were completed at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Marshall is active as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at both Georgetown University and George Washington University Hospitals. He is recognized as a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Marshall has practiced Cardiology since 2000 and moved to private practice in 2004. He is active on the faculty at Georgetown University Hospital.

The unique aspects of cardiovascular disease in women is of key interest to Dr. Marshall. He has also pursued a special interest in bringing interventional capability to heart attack patients in communities without cardiac surgery, where coronary intervention had not been previously available. Instrumental in starting such a program in Western Maryland early in 2008, he is currently the Interventional Cardiology Director at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland.
