Dr. Wendy Hookman is Founder and Medical Director of Washington Center for Women and Children’s Wellness. A Board Certified Psychiatrist, Dr. Hookman specializes in treating Women’s Mood and Anxiety Disorders and associated Weight Management Issues. Areas of special interest include Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Infertility, Psychopharmacology in Pregnancy, Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, and Infertility. Dr. Hookman is former Director of the Women’s Mood Disorders Program at Georgetown University Hospital.
Washington Center for Women and Children’s Wellness (WCWCW) is a private, confidential clinic offering a wide range of outpatient services, that separately or combined, work to get each individual on the road to enjoying the rewarding life they want and deserve. Dr. Corriene Kurz joined WCWCW in 2008 as Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Kurz has practiced in Maryland for more than 17 years, and has specialized training and experience in Mood Disorders, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Psychopharmacology, Behavioral Problems, and Transcultural Psychiatry. Dr. Kurz is Board Certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry, and is fluent in Spanish and French.
Dr. Valerie Relacion is a Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult psychiatrist. She graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Relacion has received the honorary designation as a Fellow of The American Psychiatric Association. She specializes in treating children, adolescent, and adults with weight management difficulties and mood and anxiety disorders, as well as ADHD, PDD, and disorders of Impulse Control.
Joy Paul, LCSW-C is an experienced licensed clinical social worker. She has over 20 years experience working with children and families. She has expertise in marital and family counseling. Ms. Paul’s approach in working with children is to include the family unit. Ms. Paul is exceptionally effective in working with individuals transitioning during life cycle changes. Ms. Paul is President of the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County and serves on the Board of Alumni, School of Social Work.
