Right along the K Street business corridor, this modern-style Four Points is a comfortable choice. The staff, including a concierge, seem to know the area well. The hotel’s rates are also competitive when compared with surrounding hotels.
The lobby is like a greenhouse with large, paned windows that light up the space;the furnishings are sleek and minimalist. An enclosed heated rooftop pool and adjacent rooftop terrace are open year round.Other freebees include a nice fitness center and room wi-fi.
One potential minus is that the area right around the hotel shuts down just after 6 pm. But you could walk or cab the six or so blocks to Penn Quarter, a thriving nightlife and restaurant district. With the US Secret Service headquarters just around the corner, there seems to always be a lot of security around.
