Marriot Renaissance Washington

Directly across from the Washington Convention Center, and a block from Chinatown, the Renaissance Washington is central for many things, Metro stops included. Its smaller 9th Street entrance overlooks Mt. Vernon Square and the Historical Society of Washington.

Through the main K Street entrance, guests are presented with a bright, modern lobby decked out in brass and glass, and an atrium skylight. This main area has multiple dining options including the 15 Squares Restaurant, a small market, the Presidents Sports Bar, and a Starbucks.

Even though the hotel has a lot of convention space, the elevators down to those floors are understated and the main floor is filled with a subtle artistic character. A corner library room is a nice detail off the lobby.

Guest rooms are plentiful—804 to be exact. They are fairly standard in size without a lot of extras, but they are colorful and bright. The fitness center has 28 cardio machines and a large abs/stretching area; it’s open from 6 am to 10 pm.
