As if the surrounding mountains aren’t scenic enough, at Jordan Hollow Farm the meadows are dotted with horses and llamas.

Trail rides are a treat at this 150-acre Colonial-era horse farm. The best views of the Blue Ridge are from the upper suites in the vine-covered lodge called Arbor View. Mare Meadow Lodge offers four rooms with luxuries like whirlpool baths, fireplaces, and private porches.

Crème brûlée French toast, eggs Benedict, and huckleberry pancakes are among the breakfast offerings, while the dinner menu ranges from the signature backfin crab cakes to pork tenderloin. Five miles of hiking trails beckon on the property, with more awaiting along Skyline Drive.
