WASHINGTONIAN.com Editorial Internships

Washingtonian.com is looking for an intern to work with its online team on all aspects of the website. This is an exciting opportunity to be on the cutting edge of the industry as the magazine grows and expands its online presence, develops new products, and engages with the region's online community. The ideal applicant would have an interest in both the technical side of a website and the editorial side of an online magazine. Bloggers are strongly encouraged to apply, and you must be comfortable in an all Mac OS X environment.

Tasks and projects may include updating and adding content, selecting and pairing images, working on the events calendar, archiving, and long-term project development and execution-as well as writing for the website and the site's blogs if interested. You will be working both with our online production director and our online editor.

The position is 40 hours a week for four months in the fall, five months in the spring, and three months in the summer. This is an unpaid internship.

To apply: Please send a cover letter, résumé, list your three favorite blogs and explain why you enjoy them (all as a PDF), and a possible reference to webinternships@washingtonian.com

Applicants should specify term (spring/summer/fall) for which s/he is applying. Faxed or e-mailed applications are not accepted at this time.

Application deadlines:
Spring (January-May): December 1
Summer (June-August): March 1
Fall (September-December): July 1
