PHOTOGRAPHER'S ASSISTANT INTERNSHIPThe Washingtonian offers one photography assistant internship per semester for academic credit. The intern will assist the magazine's chief photographer on various assignments on location. The subjects range from portraits and covers to food and fashion photography.
Duties will include: Candidates need to be problem solvers and be able to work under pressure. Along with being organized, they need great people skills. Also required are skills in using Mac OSX and Photoshop CS(2) and basic photography skills. Preferences will be given to candidates with access to Metro and/or a vehicle. Interns do not photograph for the magazine. Candidates must be enrolled in a college or university and receive credit for participation. They must be able to carry and lift heavy equipment.
