Young Kids

Boo-Extravaganza at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon, VA on Tuesday, October 28 from 6-8 pm. Great for ages 2-8. Come in costume and check out games, wagon rides and treats.

Spooky Tots at Rio Washingtonian on October 29 at 10 AM. Don’t miss face painting, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating and Eric Energy show for the toddler crew!

Cox Farm’s Fields of Fear in Centreville, VA is open Friday and Saturdays from 7:30-11pm now through October end. This field of bad dreams is bound to scare even the bravest among us with a ¾ mile walk through a dark cornfield full of aliens, zombies, bugs, caves and clowns!

Boo at the Zoo, Washington, DC, October 24-26 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM With 40 not-so-spooky treat stations – this is fun for the whole family!

Fright Fest at Six Flags America Through November 2. Something for everyone – family friend attractions and rides in Looney Tunes Movie Town for the young set, as well as Fright by Night for teens and up.

Obsessed with Zombies? Check out The Blood & Guts Run in Centreville, VA – a 5k zombie obstacle race on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2014 for a great cause.

Butler’s Orchard Pumpkin Fest, Germantown MD running every weekend from 10-5 pm in October with corn mazes, pumpkin cannons, and much more.

For the Dogs

Bark or Treat Halloween Canine Cruise in Alexandria, VA on Oct. 30. The Potomac Riverboat Company invites guests with costumed-pup in tow to cruise around the Potomac River on this 40-minute ride to Halloween tunes. Halloween doggie treats will be provided, as well as a photographer to capture the morning’s festivities.
