How to Wear the Season's Most Popular Styles
Arlington’s Hilary Phelps—who has her own lifestyle website, HilaryPhelps.com—says that when she’s shopping for jeans, her body type is at the top of her mind. “I was a D1 collegiate swimmer and an Ironman finisher, and I’m a certified yoga practitioner, so I have an athletic frame,” says Phelps, who also happens to be a sister of Olympian Michael Phelps. “I have muscle, I have curves, and at five-eight I have height.” In other words, like every woman, Phelps can have trouble finding jeans that fit. So we asked her to model a few styles we pulled based on what Susan Marasco, Bloomingdale’s contemporary-fashion director, says will be hot for spring.
