Nominations for Great Places to Work 2009

By Sherri Dalphonse

The Washingtonian publishes the Great Places to Work article every other year. (There is no article in 2008.) To nominate your employer for the next Great Places to Work article in 2009, email sdalphonse@washingtonian.com the name of your company and why you think it's a great place to work. Please make the subject line of the e-mail "great places to work."

The Great Places to Work contest is open to any company, nonprofit, or government agency. There is no minimum-size requirement. In order for a workplace to be considered, a representative of the company simply has to fill out a Great Places to Work application that asks about benefits and policies. (Later, a separate survey is filled out by employees.) The 2009 application will be available around March 1, 2009, and will be due around May 1, 2009. There is no application fee. If your company would like to automatically receive the 2009 Great Places to Work application, please send the name of the company representative who should receive it, along with that person's email and phone number, to sdalphonse@washingtonian.com.
