Charles Percy home in Georgetown goes for $4.1 million. Literary couple Susan Shreve and Timothy Seldes sell $2-million DC Victorian to Washington Post columnist Steven Pearlstein.

In DC: Peter and Diana Beinart sold a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo on P Street near Dupont Circle for $800,000. Peter is editor at large of the New Republic; Diana is a lawyer.

Ambassador Randall Tobias bought on 23rd Street in DC’s West End for $1.7 million. The three-bedroom, four-bathroom condo has walls of glass, two balconies, and a Poggenpohl kitchen. President Bush appointed Tobias the US global AIDS coordinator in 2003.

Children’s author Mary Quattlebaum and her husband, Christopher David, bought a three-bedroom, three-bathroom Farm House on 41st Street in Chevy Chase for $829,900. Quattlebaum has written 13 children’s books and also writes for the Washington Post.

Professor Susan Collins and Dr. Donald Vereen Jr. bought a house on Upton Street in northern Cleveland Park for $950,000. Collins is an economics professor at Georgetown University and a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution; Vereen, the deputy drug czar under President Clinton, works at the National Institute on Drug Abuse at NIH.

In Maryland: Television executive Chris Pike and his wife, Irene, sold a four-bedroom, five-bathroom Colonial for $1.5 million on Stoney Creek Road in Potomac. The house has a three-car garage, Jacuzzi, and solarium. Pike, the former head of ABC affiliate WJLA, is vice president and general manager at KDKA-TV, Pittsburgh’s local CBS station.
